Here are my picks for the top five news stories in all of geekland:
1.Daredevil #1 Audio edtition debuts!
About a month ago, Marvel Senior Editor Steve Wacker came up with the idea to record an audio edition of DAREDEVIL #1so that the visually-impaired could enjoy the dawn of a new era for DD, his friends and his enemies. Additionally, this special project provides those who can see with a new take on what’s already being hailed as one of the best comics of 2011.
DAREDEVIL writer Mark Waid provides full panel descriptions directly from his script on this audio edition, while Marvel editors Tom Brennan, Ellie Pyle and Jordan D. White lent their voices to Daredevil/Matt Murdock, Kirsten McDuffie and Foggy Nelson, with White and Wacker also providing additional vocals. Marvel.com Video Editor Todd Wahnish recorded the piece, Marvel.com Associate Editor Ben Morse directed and Jordan White edited the final recording.

Are Storm and Cyclops a couple?
The answer is yes! Starting in November in Astonishing X-men #44 Storm and Cyclops will be hooking up. According to Greg Pak-who also doing an awesome job on The Incredible Hulks-and artist Mike Mckone, this story will be post-schism and will be in continuity.

New Ultimate Spiderman!
If you haven’t heard already the person taking up the mantle of Spiderman in the wake of Peter Parker’s death in the Ultimate Universe is a teenager from Queens New York . His name is Miles Morales and he’ll have to learn just like Peter did that with “great power comes great responsibility”.

Womanthology Kickstarter ends with a bang and makes history in the process!
The all female comic anthology ended it’s month long kickstarter on August 7thwith a huge bang! The total amount raised for the project was a whoopin $109, !
Womanthology also made kickstarter history by becoming the 25thmost successful kickstarter and the #1 comic project! (Applause) So congrats ladies and a big thank you goes out to the 2001 backers who are supporting this awesome project!
